Dr. Jill H. Muskat

Director of Pain Management Psychology, Cleveland Clinic Health System, Eastern Region

Dr. Jill H. Mushkat has been with the Cleveland Clinic Health System more than 17 years where she serves as Director of Pain Management Psychology for the Regional Hospitals.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Mushkat graduated from Washington University (St. Louis) where she majored in Languages, and she received her doctoral degree in Psychology at the Ohio State University. She has held positions of responsibility in teaching, patient care and administration in Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky prior to joining the staff of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation nearly two decades ago. 

She is involved in teaching Fellows at the Cleveland Clinic Pain Center and provides a full range of psychological services, including patient evaluation for neurostimulators and intrathecal pumps. She has lectured upon the topic of instrumental pain relief, in which she is a recognized expert, nationally and internationally. She has served on the Board of Directors and as Ethics Chair of the Cleveland Psychological Association since 2004 and served as President in 2011. 

Dr. Mushkat is devoted to travel, music, literature, theatre, visual arts, gourmet cooking, Judaic history and to her husband, Dr. John Conomy.
