Dr. Nagaendran Kandiah
Dr. Nagaendran Kandiah is a senior consultant neurologist with the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI), Singapore. He is also the director of the NNI Dementia Programme. He holds a Clinician Scientist position with the National Medical Research Council of Singapore. His research interest includes Mild Cognitive Impairment, Role of Cerebrovascular disease in Alzheimer’s dementia, Parkinson’s disease dementia and Frontotemporal Dementia. He holds several national grants investigating the role of cerebrovascular disease in dementia and has over 50 peer reviewed publications in this field. He is also actively involved in the training aspects of dementia and is currently the chairman of the Neurocognitive Research and Training Consortium of Southeast Asia (NRTC-SEA). He is also the chairman of the Singapore, Ministry of Health, Clinical Practice Guidelines on Dementia.
